Selective laser sintering (SLS) technology applies laser to scan PS powder according to section profile under computer control so that part of the powder is sintered. Then the work platform is descended to the next layer with another step of powder paving and sintering. After layer stacking, a 3D object is shaped. The production is completed with post-processing (e.g. wax infiltration) for further reinforcement. The technology is mainly applied to fast prototype production, rapid grinding tools and other tools manufacturing, unit or small batch production, etc.

Advantages

Shaping size is much larger compared to other 3D printers, without supporting structure and waste liquid. It could simultaneously print several models and the residue of powder could be reused in next printing process. Un-sintered powders keep original forms and can be used to produce next product.
