On August 30th, SITI organized and carried out a theme training of “Patent Basis and Mining”, inviting senior patent attorney Mr. Gao Yan from Shanghai Guanghua Patent Law Firm to be the speaker. More than 20 staff from various departments and platforms of SITI attended the training.

Through summary and key point extraction of patent mining methods, combining with several cases domestic and international, the speaker gave a very profound case analysis with detailed explanations of patents so as to clarify the misunderstanding of the traditional concept of patent. All the trainees expressed that the training was very beneficial. It not only strengthened their own knowledge of patent mining during the process of research and development, but also provided a chance of learning more methods of patent mining, which would play an active role in the future work of intellectual property development and protection as well as planning, display, protection and operation of scientific achievements.
