At present, there is a testing cabin laboratory and a chemical experiment laboratory at the Air Purification Assessment Center, main functions including air quality inspection and purifier inspection.

There is a 30m3 testing cabin and a 3m3 testing cabin in the laboratory, simulating the space for living or activity. Air purifiers are put in the testing cabin to operate and their performance could be assessed by testing the air quality in the cabin.

The air collected from the testing cabins is tested in the chemical experiment laboratory. Air could also be collected from the living and working space and tested in the chemical experiment laboratory.

Based on the data resulted from the air quality tests, the center offers reasonable and effective solutions taking the actual situation into consideration. Its testing cabin laboratory could carry out GB/T18801-2015 Air Purifier standard CADR, CCM and purification efficiency tests. And the laboratory is equipped with such instruments as gas chromatograph and ultraviolet spectrophotometer and could carry out tests on temperature, humidity, benzene, formaldehyde, TVOC, ammonia, and radon in the indoor air in accord with the GB 50325-2010 (2013 version) standards of “Civil Building Indoor Environment Pollution Control”, GB/T18883-2002 standards of “Indoor Air Quality”, etc.
