Recently, the Urban IoT Application Innovation Center of SITI won the bidding of “2018 Pudong Airport E-Map Patrolling and Monitoring Project”. It was the first time that the Urban IoT Application Innovation Center of SITI had participated bidding for airport management projects, at the same time, it was an important practice of applying NB-IoT technology into industries especially the construction of urban IoT.

The project consists of three parts, namely, the construction of the IoT management platform for airport area and the addition of related hardware products into the machine room, the implementation of intelligent patrol system and smart city terminal pilot installation, as well as the middle and remote planning scheme for 2019. With the construction of "intelligent airport", aiming at combination of "Internet of things + Internet + Airport", it will enhance management efficiency with high-tech measures so that it will solve the problems caused by the continuous increase of Pudong Airport OMC area, with wider range of coverage and growth of management projects but lack of management staff. The OMC as the management center of the field area will carry out centralized command, partition management, block control, accurate maintenance, safe and reliable implementation so as to achieve data interoperability, security control, rapid alerting, and accurate maintenance. With combined multiple Internet of things technologies, and NB-IoT as the core network, the project will be applied to not only patrolling and management, but also to facility management, rainwater pipes and pumps, field appearance, property management and other scenarios for large-scale application. And eventually it will be constructed into a smart management platform with terminal quick integration and application innovations.
