Jointly organized by Shanghai Industrial Technology Institute, Tumor Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University and other organizations, the “19th Jinqiao Industrial Technology Innovation Conference: Genomics and Artificial Intelligence” was held successfully on April 6th, with deep discussion on new technologies and methods of tumor diagnosis and treatment. Mr. Liu Qin, deputy inspector at the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Mr. Niu Xiaoming, President of SAST and SITI, Mr. Li Ruishu, Party Secretary of Tumor Hospital, and Mr. Chen Zhen, Vice President of Tumor Hospital, attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Shi Qian, Vice President of SAST and SITI.
Prof. Zhao Guoping, CAS Fellow and director of Chinese National Human Genome Center (Shanghai) Disease and Health Genome Key Laboratory was invited to give a talk on the development history and emerging trends of cancer genetics; Dr. Wang Wenyi, associate professor at MD Anderson cancer center of the United States gave a talk on the research progress of genetic counseling software aided diagnosis of breast cancer in USA. Prof. Shao Zhimin, director of Cancer Research Institute of Fudan University and Professor Zhou Xiaoyan, deputy director of Pathology Department of Tumor Hospital gave talks on genetic heterogeneity of breast cancer and molecular detection of hereditary tumors. Other invited speakers including Prof. Qian Dahong, Zhejiang University, Research Fellow Wang Qian, and Prof. Du Yiping of Shanghai Jiaotong University, gave talks on artificial intelligence, machine learning, intelligent analysis of medical imaging, magnetic resonance imaging in diagnosis and treatment of cancer, etc.
More than 100 participants from research teams and other social circles attended the meeting with discussions on technology development and transfer for hereditary tumors and artificial intelligence.
At the conference, Associate Professor Wenyi Wang and Professor Dahong Qian were awarded certificates of chief experts for biomedicine and invited to join the construction of “Joint Laboratory of Precision Medicine and Clinical Translation for Tumors” co-established by Tumor Hospital and Shanghai Industrial Technology Institute.
