During November 15-16, 2017, invited by its partner Huawei, SITI participated the 8th MBBF jointly organized by Huawei, GSMA and GTI in London, UK. The main themes of the Forum are 5G communications and IoT and high-level representatives from HUAWEI, GSMA, Vodafone, TELUS, ABB, NTT, DOCOMO, BELL, Procter & Gamble, British Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Spain Telecom and other companies delivered speeches and presentations on the forum.

This forum focuses on the promotion of NB-IoT communication technology, mainly developed by HUAWEI and other international technology giants and has become the 3GPP international standard in 2016. Especially in 2017, through the large-scale commercial demonstration application in a few countries such as China, the technology has been rapidly improved and matured. On this forum, NB-IoT technology has become a hotspot in the technology industry around the world, and a variety of scenarios in China’s vertical application cases has become a model for other countries in the world to promote the application of NB-IoT technology, which fully demonstrated that in the IOT technology field, China is walking fast in the forefront of the world.

On the forum, SITI as the third party generic technology service platform mainly displayed its NB-IoT industry application incubation platform. And during the two day forum, Dr. Chen Zhihui and project manager Mr. Li Wei presented to the visitors from the global mobile operators, international vertical industry enterprises, standards organizations, UK government departments, etc., new technology features of NB-IoT, its demonstration application scenarios and cases, the functions and incubation process of the NB-IoT industry application incubation platform at SITI as well as the background of SITI and its international collaboration models, and they won numerous praises and recognition, and many visitors from European and African enterprises expressed willingness of establishing cooperation relationship with SITI.
