The printer uses laser as energy source to melt and sinter metal powder, shaping via layer stacking. It can print products with complicated structures, such as complex surface, porous structure, curved deep groove, and three-dimensional waterway. It is suitable for medical industry such as orthopedic implants, dental products, as well as for production of moulds with random shapes, small batches of lightweight components for aeronautics and space. Printable materials include titanium alloy, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, cobalt chromium alloy, nickel alloy, and martensitic steel.
