Recently, SITI passed the verification and obtained CMA Qualification issued by Shanghai Municipal Quality and Technology Supervision Bureau, thus formally became an independent third party institution providing services of air purifier performance assessment and indoor air quality testing.

Air pollution has become one of the major challenges against health around the world. focusing on meeting the requirements of civil life and promotion of relevant industries, SITI decided to establish a center for air purifier performance assessment in September of 2016 according to standards of “Air Purifiers” GB/T 18801-2015, Special Requirements for Household and Similar Appliance with Anti-bacteria, Sterilization and Purification Air Purifiers GB 21551.3-2010 and Regulations for Civil Building and Project Indoor Pollution Control GB50325-2010 (2013version) and is equipped with a whole set of testing system with hardware and software including a 30m3 and a 3m3 testing cabin.

The testing and assessment items of the center covers core contents of IS regulations including formaldehyde, benzene, TVOC, ammonia and radon, as well as multiple index assessments including CADR for particles and formaldehyde, CCM for particles and formaldehyde, and release of harmful substances (ozone).

The center will also carry out researches on typical air pollutants and assessment and selection of various treatment technologies, satisfying various requirements from the society for air purification products and solutions. During the progress of establishment, the center organized series of activities and events such as “Innovation Competition for Chinese Air Purifier Industry”, and participated the writing of standards such as “Air Purifiers for Classrooms”. With methods of lectures, news releases and TV and radio campaigns, the center effectively constructed a bridge between supply and demand and did great efforts in propelling orderly development of air purifier industry as part of healthy and beautiful “China Dream”.
