On March 29th, SITI and SungKyunKwan University (SKKU) held the Signing Ceremony for SITI-SKKU Joint R&D Center of 3D Metal Printing. Mr. Xiaoming Niu, President of SITI, Mr. Ji Beom Yoo, Vice President of SKKU, Mr. Yi Huang, Vice Chief Engineer of SITI, Mr. Guoquan Min, Director of Smart Manufacturing at SITI, Ms. Wei Huang, vice director of biomedicine at SITI, Mr. Weimin Zhou, Leader of 3D Printing Technology R&D and Service Platform, and relevant staff from both sides attended the activity.

Mr. Xiaoming Niu, President of SITI, and Mr. Ji Beom Yoo, Vice President of SKKU, signed on the MoU for SITI-SKKU Joint R&D Center of 3D Metal Printing on behalf of the two sides and unveiled together the name-board of the center. The two sides expressed their hope to work together to propel the fast development of materials, products and applications of 3D metal printing by making full use of the complementary advantages on materials, researches, facilities, software and talents of the two sides. Through scientific exchange, training and talent cultivation, the center would enhance its capacity of innovation and better serve enterprises and market.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed thoroughly about the development and collaboration dimensions, research topics and staff exchange at the Joint R&D Center of 3D Metal Printing, and expressed wishes to propel the construction by attracting industrial experts, establishing China-Korea Expert Committee, holding meetings orienting towards market requirements, etc.

Mr. Ji Beom Yoo, Vice President of SKKU, expressed his hope that the establishment of the Joint R&D Center of 3D Metal Printing would be a window to initiate the comprehensive collaborations between SITI and SKKU in the areas of medical studies, pharmaceutical studies, material and chemistry, etc.
