At present, intelligent robots are getting wide attention in the aspects of scientific researches, medical treatment and recovery, special education, etc. SAST and SITI also aim at this area and actively propel communication and collaboration together with KOREA Institute of Science and Technology. On June 4th, the three parties held a ceremony of signing collaboration MoU. President of SAST and President of SITI Mr. Niu Xiaoming, and President of KOREA Institute of Science and Technology, signed on the MoU on behalf of the three parties. Vice President of SAST and Vice President of SITI Mr. Shi Qian and relevant cadres from the three parties attached the ceremony.

According to the MoU, the three parties would propel together core technologies of intelligent robot R&D and industrialization, through joint R&D projects, exchanges of researchers, and organization of professional workshops and seminars as well as product exhibitions. The three parties also planned to co-establish a “China-Korea Intelligent Robot Engineering Center” in the latter part of the year and construct intelligent robot R&D platform and verification platform.
