Exploration of Deep Collaboration and Communication Model

——Visit of Prof. Alister Jones, Senior Deputy Chancellor, University of Waikato, New Zealand

On Sept.21st, 2016, Prof. Alister Jones, Senior Deputy Chancellor, University of Waikato, New Zealand, visited SITI, accompanied by Ms. Mu Lan, Senior Regional Manger – East Asia, International Office, University of Waikato, and Ms. Xu Huaying, Consulate General of New Zealand in Shanghai, and had a discussion with Mr. Niu Xiaoming, president of SITI, Mr. Shi Qian, vice president, Mr. Liu Wenbo, director of Green Energy Department, Mr. Jiang Yaopeng, director of Air Purification Assessment and Testing Center, and Ms. Zhang Man, operation manager of the center, regarding to how to propel deep level collaborations between the two sides.

The delegation first visited the laboratories at Jinqiao Branch, SITI, and went through the present status and scientific achievements of SITI in the fields of flexible displays, 3D printing technology for metals, smart manufacturing etc. and gave positive praises.

During the discussion, Prof. Alister Jones, Mr. Niu Xiaoming, Mr. Shi Qian, and other participants carried out thorough and deep communication on how to propel the collaborations between the two sides, including the fields of environment, modern agriculture, IT, materials, and other multi-disciplinary fields and reached an initial intent of collaboration, which is significant towards to further development and expansion of international innovation community being constructed at SITI.
