On the afternoon of July 25th, Mr. Xiaoxi Yang, Vice Director General of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission led a delegation composed of more than 10 representatives of Science, Technology and Information Division, Road and Transportation Divsition, Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, Pudong New District Construction and Transportation Committee, Pudong New District Public Transportation Corp. to visit SITI. Mr. Qian Shi, vice president of SITI, Mr. Bing Chen, director of Industrial Promotion Dept., Mr. Xuesong Cai, vice director of Information and Communications Depart., and relevant staff of SITI attended the meeting.

Accompanied by Mr. Qian Shi, Mr. Xiaoxi Yang and the delegation visited the smart city experience pavilion and 3D printing R&D center of SITI.

During the meeting, Mr. Qian Shi introduced SITI’s functions and targets, operation modes and experience and achievements of technology transfer during the previous years and stated that SITI would continually persist the development concept of transforming scientific resources into scientific and technological production forces, propelling technology transfer and innovating together with clients. Mr. Bing Chen, director of Industrial Promotion Dept., and Mr. Xuesong Cai, vice director of Information and Communications Depart., gave briefing reports on the SITI’s achievements of public transportation info release, bus stop smart management, parking lot management, public transportation passenger flow data collection and refined monitoring and management of urban shared bicycles. They also showed the demo running to the delegation.

Mr. Xiaoxi Yang, Vice Director General of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, expressed his appraisals and appreciation towards the achievements made in SITI in the field of smart public transportation. He also expressed his hope that SITI would make full play of its technologies of ublic transportation information release and passenger flow data collection to provide data support for the ground public transportation and railed transportation “two network integration” as well as public transportation network adjustment so as to help to upgrade the construction of digitalization of Shanghai’s public transportation.
