On March 27th, 2017, the governor of Steiermark, Austria, Hermann Schützenhöfer led a delegation to visit SITI and attended the unveiling ceremony for “China-Austria Green Tech Innovation Center”, which is co-established by SITI, Shanghai University and Green Tech Cluster of Austria. The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Shi Qian, vice president of SITI.

In his welcome speech, Mr. Niu Xiaoming, President of SITI, give a brief introduction of the establishment background, vision and mission and main achievement of SITI. The governor of Steiermark, Austria, Hermann Schützenhöfer, introduced the development status of science and technology of Steiermark in his speech and extended congratulations on the establishment of “China-Austria Green Tech Innovation Center”, as well as his wish that the two sides would make significant progress in the collaborations on green technologies and provide new momentum towards the economic development in the two regions. Then Mr. Niu Xiaoming, President of SITI, Hermann Schützenhöfer, governor of Steiermark, Austria, Prof. Liyi Shi, GM of National Science and Technology Park, Shanghai University, and Mr. Bernhard Puttinger, CEO of Green Tech Cluster, unveiled the nameboard of “China-Austria Green Tech Innovation Center” together.

After the ceremony, the Austria delegation also visited the generic technology platforms including Air Purification Assessment Center, Smart Traffic Research Center, Flexible and Printed Electronics at the Jinqiao Branch of SITI.
